Familiar Faces

So I was in the mall shopping with my family on Black Friday, just chilling and I ran into a familar face. He kept looking at us but i recognized him. His name was George...we used to call him brother George. He used to be our old choir director and also our barber. George has a son named Steff of "Young Steff" who was signed by RocaFella Records but is now signed to Richard Harrison's label. George was talking to us about his music and stuff like that. He also was very impressed with us when we walked into the store and told me and my family that we were shining...by that he meant that we were different and was complimenting us quite a bit. He told me that I was cut from a different cloth and to keep doing my thing. That made me feel good you know when people give you those kind of compliments. It was nice to see him and to see another person from the neighborhood doing their thing. To know that Im not the only one reppin the area you know, and that is a lesson within itself. A lot of times people are so quick to make things a competition, sometimes it's nice to just give another person a compliment on what they are doing. You have to understand that it's not just about you, and you are not the only one with talent. You have to wish others the same amount of success that you are trying to achieve. When you do that, God will see your heart and bless you even more
