R&B music...

I love listening to R&B music...I was going through some records, both old and new for hours...listening to some of my favorite music, trying to compare the old school R&B with the new school R&B and some soul stuff. I was just basically trying to figure out the differences in music and lyrics and stuff like that. I realized that the beats are definatley different. I mean the old school stuff was smooth, laid back, chill...THe new stuff out now, def sounds hot too though. THe beats are blazing more of a hip hop / pop feel to R&B now.

As far as lyrics go, however, to be honest i really did not hear any differences. I mean to be fair, i think alot of this R&B stuff sounds redundant. I mean these are the topics: SEX, Taking your clothes off, more SEX, meeting a girl at the club, and breaking up...

I mean look this stuff is normal and is apart of life but it would be nice to hear something different once in a while, and maybe put a twist to these topics...thats all im saying
