Half Time

yea i gotta hit the locker room for a minute. Time to take a 5 minute breather. I been going non stop for a while now. What are the results? What Have I learned? Time to go back to the drawing board, tweak some things here and there, and go back hard till the 4th quarter. Let me just re state what my goal is here, and why im writing these blogs. Let's get one thing straight. The blogs stop at 100. I think im close to 50 blogs written right now. Thats a few months worth. After 100, I stop. My goal is by my 100th blog to have some kind of deal or offer. Something. Thats the goal and hopefully somebody learned something from my experiences.

What are the results coach? What am I doing wrong? How can I change it? Results are so so. I mean I feel like im there like almost to the top, but im not there yet. Im still trying to figure out what the problem is. I mean, Im putting in the work and time, the demo is as polished as it's going to be with what i have (equipment and resources) Im shopping the demos everywhere i can , and the results are me just waiting for something, a response. Lets see... FOCUS said NO, Wyclef didn't get back to me so thats a NO, Consequence didn't get back to me so thats a NOO and the few A&R's, execs, and people in position to help me that heard me said exactly the same thing...It's GOOD...BUT it sounds like everyone else. Nothing stands out. Or something else...Is it me or is a demo called a demo, something that your supposed to see the potential in. Let me ask y'all a question. What separates Chris Brown, Ne Yo, Usher, Bobby Valentino, Mario? hmmm they all sound the same to me and they all getting paid. What separates Akon from T-Pain? The both sound the same to me and they still getting paid. What separates Boyz 2 men, Jagged Edge, Jodeci, 112, No Question, AZ yet...they all sounded the same to me and they all got paid. What about N'Sync, Backstreet Boyz, 98 degrees, NKOTB...hmmm they all sounded the same to me and they all got paid. Eveyone sounds the same so what. What elements are they bringing that are differently? T-Pain aint different, he got his style from Roger Troutman!

What am I doing wrong? I don't know. How can I change it, how can I tweek it to get better. Well, thats a question that I can answer. I need to be performing more and getting out there word up, get more exposure. As good as I think I am I ain't Sh*T. I mean, theres a million dudes out there that look like me and can sing like me if not better. I gotta practice harder and get better at my craft until im literally a master at it. I have to be able to go against R.Kelly, Usher, like Right now. I gotta be that good. Am i that good? NO im not. Im getting there but i need to be better for real. What am i going to do differently that i haven't done before? Well im just going to work on some uptempo joints and keep everything fire. Slow jams is cool but i think i have too much, i need to just keep it hittin.

What have I learned? That people are full of shit. To keep going even when the odds are against you. Never give up and just have fun with your craft. To never judge anyone, cause no matter how good you think you are...someone somewhere is better. To respect everyone's craft and always be humble with yours and let the music speak for it self. No matter how old you get keep doin it, the ones telling you that you are too old to be doing this are proly jealous cause they never made it. Work hard, have a dream, and pray that one day it will come true.
