So I performed again at the Vineland High Snow Ball while my brother DJ'd, and like always it was a huge success. We are definitely getting a lot of love from New Jersey. Although the speakers blew halfway into my performance, I still killed it. Many people came up to me and said that I was so hot that the speakers blew! I was laughing, but that also taught me a lesson. No matter what happens on stage...the show must go on. If the speaker blows, or the mic cuts short, you still must perform until that song is done. Even if you have to sing with no mic and no music, you still have to give the crowd a show. Anyways, that was an intersting lesson. I have some of the footage, that I will be posting shortly.
The product is almost done, and shopping season is approaching. This is a note to all those trying to get signed...During the holidays, execs is mad lazy and they aren't trying to hear no music. My advice is during the time of Thanksgiving and Christmas...get your music prepared and pressed up, and get ready to shop your music in the first week of January right after new years. Like I wrote before in a previous blog, Signing season is from January to March. We are trying to contact all the major college radio stations during the month of December to see if we can get some airplay. College radio is better at first then the more popular stations to get your music played. After you are circulating on the airwaves, then you can present your stuff to the major radio stations...If you are successful at this, and I hope that we are, then your buzz will be crazy! You can get a list of college radio stations anywhere, just do a little research and your good.
Signing off until next time
